From the beginning of his career, David Massey has always seen practicing law as a privilege. He and his partner, Summer Tompkins, specialize in helping children and their families who’ve suffered catastrophic injuries. Since David Massey passed the bar exam and was admitted into legal practice in 1983, he has always put the livelihood and well-being of his clients first. While David Massey resides in Columbia, South Carolina, he has represented clients across the Carolinas, New York, Florida, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Kentucky, and the Territory of Guam.

While Summer Tompkins was accepted to the South Carolina Bar in 2007, her passion for impact and making a difference began long before. During her time in law school Summer Tompkins participated in pro-bono volunteer work as a guardian ad litem working. This experience influenced her passion for those suffering from catastrophic injuries. In 2005, Summer Tompkins joined the Law Offices of David E. Massey. She works to manage the daily business management and marketing affairs along with extensive involvement in numerous catastrophic injury case settlements.
